Let’s see how well all the players did with ratings at the Leeds United vs Wolves match that took place at Elland Road Stadium in Leeds.
Leeds United wanted to continue their great return to the Premier League against Wolves on Monday night football. Elland Road was the venue where Marcelo Bielsa’s squad got a visit from Nuno Espirito Santo’s players. Adama Traore wasn’t part of the starting eleven for Wolves this evening, but Raul Jimenez was leading the attack.
On Bielsa’s side, Leeds United performed as a well-rounded football squad with no individual highlights above the collective. But despite their constant efforts, there seems to be an evident lack of fire-power on Leeds United’s offensive line. Marcelo Bielsa might be able to save the club from relegation with what he has right now, but they will need new transfers if they want to fight for the title.
Jimenez saves the day, again.
The big moment of the match came with 20 minutes still left on the clock. A solo effort from Raul Jimenez made his shot get deviated by Phillips and made Wolves get the advantage. The Mexican striker was the best player on the pitch both as an attacking force and a defensive aid for his teammates.
Adama Traore came on the pitch for the second half but he wasn’t as lucid as usual. Jimenez was the one who carried the Wolves all the way to victory. As far as Bielsa’s players are concerned, they are still a long way from the level the manager wants from them.
