The Blues are reportedly keen to make a move for Trossard as soon as this winter.
Leandro Trossard has insisted he hasn’t been in contact with Chelsea over a possible transfer to Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian star has established himself as a crucial player for Brighton this season. The Seagulls have remained sixth on the Premier League table, bouncing back from a short dip in form after Graham Potter’s departure earlier this season.
Potter, who has move to Chelsea, is reportedly keen to reunite with Trossard at the London club.
According to FourFourTwo, the Blues are keen to sign Trossard for £30 million.
There have even been talks of Chelsea making a bid for the winger this January. However, Trossard says there has been no contact between him and the club.
Speaking to HLN, the 27-year-old said: “Chelsea have in any case not yet reported. Not with Brighton and not with me.
“I have to wait and see. I want to finish strong at Brighton and leave for Qatar with that good feeling.”
Earlier this season, Trossard had given a similar response to reports linking him with a move to Chelsea.
“Our coach did leave for Chelsea now but speculation about me following him makes no sense,” he told Het Nieuwsblad.
“If the opportunity arises, I want to go. But I want to play and not sit on the bench.”
