Recent reports have claimed Lautaro Martinez is unhappy at Inter and his agent has shared more light on the player’s situation at the club.
Agent Alejandro Camano warns Inter that Lautaro Martinez ‘wants to understand what the future of the club will be’ before signing a new deal.
Martinez was fuming when Antonio Conte subbed him off after 77 minutes in their Serie A clash against Roma, as the Argentine had replaced injured Alexis Sanchez after 35 minutes.
His reaction caused controversy and even the Inter assistant coach in Cristian Stellini hit out at the player’s attitude.
Regardless, Lautaro claimed it was misinterpreted and he was focused on the next task against Juventus when he spoke to Sky Sport Italia after the match.
Speaking on his future, his agent has not entered talks with any other clubs and said the Beneamata ‘remains the priority’ but warned Inter that Martinez waits to understand the future of the Nerazzurri.
“We are calm, but the current situation of Inter prevents us from making any predictions,” Camano told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“The lad is happy in Milan, he has just won a championship as a protagonist, but we cannot help but wait.
“At present it’s useless to make predictions. We, like the others, first want to understand what the future of the club will be.”
Martinez is on contract with Inter until the summer of 2023 and it remains to be seen if he would consider an exit from the club before then.
