After Dani Alves’ return to Barcelona, president Joan Laporta has kept the doors open for club legends Lionel Messi and Andres Ineista.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta says that the club will never close the doors for Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta to make their comebacks at Camp Nou.

Momentarily, Blaugrana are going through significant changes in the system as Xavi replaced Ronald Koeman.

It was high time for the club to call upon one of their favourites as Barca struggled to overcome domestically and on the European stage.

Xavi has already brought Dani Alves back at Camp Nou, and Laporta is willing to do the same if Messi and Iniesta wish to come back.

The Argentine great ended his 21-year stint as he moved to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. Whereas, the Spanish midfielder currently works with Vissel Kobe in the Japanese League.

Laporta told the press of their club legends: “I don’t rule anything out. It happened with Dani – age is [just] a number. They’re two great players.”

“I can’t predict what will happen tomorrow, they’re still playing and contracted to other clubs.”

“You never know what happens in life.”
