Callum Hudson-Odoi has impressed Frank Lampard of late but the Blues boss reveals the one aspect he wants the player to improve.
Frank Lampard wants to see Callum Hudson-Odoi improve his end product and become a top-class winger in the Premier League.
The 20-year-old impressed as Chelsea drew 1-1 with Aston Villa and was on the end of some brilliant passing and displays in that game.
Lampard has always backed Hudson-Odoi to hit his full potential but a lack of regular football has been the issue for the youngster.
The youngster has only three goals and one assist from 14 appearances this season and Lampard has backed him to improve his all-round end product.
“The obvious next part is end product,” Lampard said of Hudson-Odoi as per The Independent.
“We we want to see Callum, as I think he did against Arsenal, to go one-versus-one, to be confident to go one-versus-one, because he has the ability to do it.”
“And to get crosses in like he did for Tammy (Abraham) at Arsenal, and to get goals, to arrive in the box.”
“Because that’s the level of top wingers in the Premier League when you look around at the numbers that the top wingers produce in the Premier League in recent years.”
“Callum definitely has the capabilities and that will be the next stage for him.”
With a tight schedule still lying in wait for Premier League sides, Hudson-Odoi could get more chances to impress over the coming weeks.
