During a public event with the press, La Liga president revealed the three managers he wants coaching in Spanish football as soon as possible.

The Spanish La Liga has been stripped of their many great managers over the years as a result of the competition’s lack of funds. As the coronavirus pandemic has progressed over the last 8 months, the impact on the country’s infrastructure has been massive and many players might also leave the tournament.

But Javier Tebas is adamant about his desire to get back to the old days of glory when the Spanish La Liga was the best in the world. During his latest exchange with the press, Javier Tebas spoke about his desire to bring some of the best managers in the world to La Liga. He mentioned two who already coached in the country by name but he added someone who is currently coaching in England.

Tebas wants Mourinho and Guardiola back, but he also wants Jurgen Klopp to make his debut as a manager in the tournament. Convincing Klopp to leave Liverpool won’t be easy right now, especially during a new golden era in the Premier League such as today.

Tebas also spoke about Messi’s possible departure.

“We always want the best,” Tebas said on ESPN. “I want [Lionel] Messi in La Liga. Just as I want Mourinho, Guardiola, Klopp, Cristiano [Ronaldo]… All of those would help us grow. I remember I said [back in August] that Messi was not essential.

“We are working in the event that [Messi’s departure] happens one day. Players are very important but they are not essential. Any league which manages itself based on what player it will add makes a mistake. Stars can help you in certain regions but in order to be global, you need to have a good product. We have created a unique product.

“We have already signed our audiovisual rights for the next four seasons and in none of those contracts does it state that we will be paid less if these players leave. But I insist, I would like Messi to continue many years here. He is the best football player in history and my wish is for him to end his playing career in Spain.”
