The Spanish Football Federation just published the official 2021-22 season’s La Liga official calendar. We have some great matches.
La Liga is finally back in full swing with the 2021-22 seasons starting on August 15. There are many great matches we will surely enjoy as Atletico Madrid defend the dramatic title they conquered last season. We have all three giants duking it out to win the trophy by the end of the season and we will try to follow all of them closely. FC Barcelona get the news of their calendar without a clear idea of Messi’s new contract at the club.
Real Madrid start a new adventure without Sergio Ramos but with Carlo Ancelotti back as the club’s manager. During the inaugural date, Atletico Madrid will start the season with a visit to Balaidos to face Celta de Vigo. Real Madrid will open the season with a visit to Deportivo Alaves. And FC Barcelona will play their inaugural match at Camp Nou against Real Sociedad. But we care the most about the matches between the three Spanish giants, which will eventually come.
When does El Clasico take place?
Let us start with the most important games of the season: El Clasico. To start, the Catalan club will play at home during the first half of La Liga. Come November 24, Real Madrid will visit the Catalan city for this transcendental match. During the second half of the tournament, Real Madrid will get a visit from FC Barcelona on March 20. Hopefully, Los Blancos will already have the new Santiago Bernabeu wide open for the fans to enjoy.
Barcelona will play against Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano on October the 3rd. They will play the next match at Camp Nou on February 6. And finally, the Madrid Derby starts at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on December 12. For one of the final fixtures of the season, Metropolitano Stadium will host Los Blancos in a thrilling final stretch of the season.
