During a fantastic interview on Sky Sports, Kylian Mbappe spoke about his major challenge to surpass Messi and Ronaldo in the future.

Kylian Mbappe has been compared to both Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo since he started his brilliant career. To many, he is already deemed a ‘young GOAT’ due to all his early achievements. The stats he keeps delivering on a daily basis are simply out of this world, he can only be compared to the other two players.

In fact, Mbappe has already reached some goals that the other two stars never accomplished. We are obviously talking about the FIFA World Cup. But let’s be real, Mbappe still has a long way to be considered equally successful as the two monsters. The key to him getting to a top-level as they have, is to always remain grounded despite all the noise around his atmosphere.

Kylian Mbappe seems like a pretty mature athlete and he keeps proving it on a daily basis. Every time they question him about staying at the top of the game, he has clear objectives and those two as his role models.

His most recent public statement about this matter came earlier today during an interview on Sky Sports. As part of a publicity event for the FIFA 21 videogame, Mbappe made a cameo alongside Thierry Henry and pro boxer Anthony Joshua. In this exchange, the PSG star shared a glimpse into his everyday mentality.

“Sometimes when I play one vs one, I can think it’s easy because I have so much confidence. But sometimes I’m not focused. I think I can score an easy goal and that is not the way. I’m aware of what I need to do.

“Today, I see who are the best players: Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. I consider myself a good player and I’m happy with my career. But I know I’m several steps behind them. I’m not up there with them yet.”
