Could Kylian Mbappe end up in Serie A one day? His mother has opened up about his support for AC Milan as a child.

Kylian Mbappe’s childhood support for AC Milan has been confirmed by his mother, Fayza Lamari.

Images of a young Mbappe donning a Milan shirt have circulated on social media.

Lamari has now spoken of her son’s affection for the Rossoneri in an interview for La Gazzetta dello Sport, alongside companions Nicola, Beatrice Riccardi, and Riccardi’s son, Antonio.

Lamari shared, “He is the son of sportsmen, but he was immersed in cheering for Milan right from the start. When he came home, he would only talk about Milan. If Milan lost, he could throw the remote control at the TV and say a few bad words in Italian.”

Antonio Riccardi, who coached Mbappe as a child, used to watch Milan matches with him. He used to poke fun at him for looking like the club’s former goalkeeper Dida.

“Kylian told me that Milan were part of his plans, but at the end of his career. He was joking, unfortunately,” Riccardi said.

“No one or almost no one can afford him now.”

Beatrice Riccardi added that they used to call Mbappe a “little Robinho” and that the shirt he wore as a child was a gift from them.

Mbappe’s childhood football wardrobe featured shirts from various clubs. These included Real Madrid, the French national team, Paris Saint-Germain, and Manchester United.

As fate would have it, the now 24-year-old Frenchman is set to face AC Milan on Wednesday. His Paris Saint-Germain team will play against the Italian giants in an upcoming Champions League match at the Parc Des Princes.
