While talk continues to spread over his future, Kylian Mbappe is keeping out of it and instead focusing on present matters.
Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward, Kylian Mbappe, has opted to keep mum on discussions surrounding his contract extension beyond the current season.
Mbappe, who faced repercussions for announcing his decision not to extend his contract in June, has since rebounded. The forward is back in the PSG team and has impressed on the pitch, netting 15 goals in as many appearances.
“It’s something I don’t want to talk about,” Mbappe said of his future in a recent interview with Telefoot.
“I already did it in June, and it took up a big part of the selection. I want us to talk more about the national team, rather than me talking about something that will be resolved one day, so there will be time to talk about that.”
Despite the lack of clarity on Mbappe’s contract extension, rumors persist about potential suitors. Real Madrid stand as the clear frontrunners for the prolific attacker. There are also suggestions that Liverpool and Bayern Munich may throw their hats in the ring.
Yet, as Mbappe and the French national team gear up for their Euro 2024 qualifier against Greece on Tuesday, the focus remains on the pitch.
