A week after the embarrassing confrontation for Gerard Pique, Kylian Mbappe responded to the provocations he suffered from the defender.

Kylian Mbappe had a minor altercation with Gerard Pique on the day PSG defeated Barcelona with a hat-trick from him. We have the audio in which both players start arguing with Jordi Alba right in the middle of the altercation. Allegedly, Pique reminded Mbappe he hasn’t won the Champions League yet. However, the French forward is already a World Cup champion and he is looking to get the Euros this year.

Getting provoked by Gerard Pique is not too much for Mbappe due to his winning mentality. Instead of getting offended, the youngster prefers to see Pique’s words as motivation. Plus, the Catalan defender is the one who became a meme after the photo of him running after Kylian became viral online. In the forward’s view, he has nothing to envy Pique despite his accomplishments.

Mbappe looks at the glass half full.

In a recent press conference, Mbappe spoke about Pique’s provocations: “What Pique said, I won’t take it with hard feelings, I will take it as advice. Indeed am 22 years old and will turn 23 years in December. Pique has won more than I have done. He has run so many races and won them with Barcelona and Spain. What he said was true. I need to win Trophies before I can be among the elite level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, including the likes of Pique.

“In the end, you need to win more big Trophies internationally and across Europe, His comments are actually a piece of advice to me, not an Insult. It’s up to you how you analyzed it. Winning against Barcelona in the 1st leg does not mean I am the European champion already and I would love to have one of those Uefa Champions League Pique has mentioned.”
