The France captain’s future is under a cloud once more after declaring his intention to not extend his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.

Kylian Mbappe would favor Arsenal if he moved to the Premier League, according to the Independent.

Mbappe’s future is uncertain. Real Madrid are long-term admirers, but Paris Saint-Germain want to keep their star man. The French champions, though, are in a tricky situation. The striker has informed them of his plans to not renew his contract, which expires in 2024. It presents PSG with a decision to make – do a sale this summer or lose him on a free transfer next year.

The club’s chairman, Nasser Al Khelaifi, has made his stance clear. He told reporters on Wednesday that Mbappe has two options. The Frenchman can stay at PSG this summer, but only by signing a new contract. If not, Al Khelaifi will try to sell him to another team.

Allegedly, Real Madrid plan to wait until Mbappe becomes a free agent in 2024. The Spanish club’s president, Florentino Perez, does not want to give PSG anything. He has also recently signed Joselu. The striker is seen as a temporary replacement for the departed Karim Benzema.

Now it’s claimed that Arsenal would be Mbappe’s choice if he headed to the Premier League. The 24-year-old admires Gunners manager Mikel Arteta and his team. Yet, there has been no contact between Arsenal and PSG, with Mbappe likely to be beyond Arsenal’s budget.
