The Senegal international has lifted the lid on which clubs he would join if he was to leave Napoli.
Manchester City, Barcelona, or Real Madrid are the three clubs Kalidou Koulibaly would consider if he left Napoli.
In seven-and-a-half years in Italy, Koulibaly has developed into one of Europe’s highest-rated defenders. Several clubs, including Manchester United and City, are reported admirers. However, he has stayed put and has helped Napoli embark on an unbeaten start to the season in Serie A.
The rumor mill, though, continues to circle around the 30-year-old. The latest reports claim Newcastle United want to sign him in January following their Saudi-led takeover.
But if there is one club Koulibaly definitely won’t be joining, then it’s Juventus.
Speaking on the ‘Kiss Kiss Napoli’ radio network, journalist Valter De Maggio said: “Koulibaly answered me like this: ‘Me at Juventus? Are you crazy?! I would never go and play for another Italian club.
“If I decided to leave Napoli, I would only do it for two, maximum three clubs in the world. I’m talking about [Pep] Guardiola’s Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona at the most.
“But believe me: I would never go to Juventus: I could not betray the Napoli fans’”
