Ahead of next weekend’s match against Osasuna, Ronald Koeman spoke about the sensation that his players are united and getting along.

FC Barcelona is taking steps forward under Ronald Koeman, he is slowly earning his spot as the club’s manager. Last Wednesday, he managed to convince many naysayers who doubted him when he arrived from the Dutch National Team. Even the players doubted Koeman but he has done what many believed was impossible. The images of all the players celebrating together after getting to the Copa del Rey final are very telling.

Koeman achieved something that no other manager before him could do in recent years. He made the supporters believe this squad can actually fight to win trophies. Even though he reserved himself the chance to make a proper balance of the current season until the end, the improvement is too evident to ignore. Koeman knows he has a united dressing room to confront the final stage of the season.

Koeman still thinks they won’t win many titles.

During today’s press conference, Marca picked up the following statement from Koeman about the players’ improvement under him: “I rather make an analysis until the end of the season. We still have things to play ahead with the Champions League, La Liga, and the Copa del Rey final. But there is one thing I do feel proud about: the team’s environment. Having a good feeling is very important. Today, the squad has self-confidence with the changes we made.

“When I saw them celebrating getting to the final, even the subs were angry they didn’t get to play. That was very important for us. The dressing room is united. But I’m a realist. We can’t change our opinion on our chances to win trophies this season. First, we need to keep winning games. The squad is a few points below Atletico and we have eight players with more minutes played than any other player in Europe. I hope we can say we did a good job and we lift a trophy by the end of the season.”
