It was no surprise to see Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman give a ‘cold’ response after continuous questions about Lionel Messi’s future.

Barca boss Ronald Koeman is adamant Lionel Messi will remain at Barcelona and wasn’t interested in saying much on the matter.

The Dutch manager joined the club at a period where the Argentine made his intentions known about leaving the club before he later opted to stay put for one more season.

In fact, Ronald Koeman was asked about Lionel Messi and his future in his very first press conference as Barca boss. The Dutchman always maintained that he is confident the captain will remain at the club.

The 57-year-old has had to deal with such questions right from the start of his Barca coaching career till date.

The talk of Messi leaving Barca has not died down either, especially after former Barca boss Pep Guardiola signed a contract extension at Manchester City. Some have claimed that could be the catalyst that reunites both player and manager once again.

On the path of Koeman, he is getting rather frustrated about these questions and his latest response did justice to that.

As per Goal, the Barca boss was asked whether he sees the six-time Ballon d’Or winner leaving Barca. He replied reporters: “No, and I won’t say any more about this.”

The 57-year-old was pressed on the matter again at a later stage and was straightforward blunt in his response: “I won’t take any more questions on this.”
