Ronald Koeman dropped his words regarding Barcelona’s win against Dynamo Kyiv and the weekend’s El-Clasico.

After a disastrous start to La Liga and the Champions League campaign for Barcelona, Wednesday night’s win over Dynamo Kyiv has restored some faith in Ronald Koeman. The Dutch boss opened up about last night’s close victory and the upcoming clash with their fierce enemies.

Camp Nou was blessed with joy as Barca finally kick-started their European run with three points. Before beating the Ukrainian side, the Blaugrana suffered heavily because of two consecutive defeats against Bayern Munich and SL Benfica. Gerrard Pique’s side-footed volley from a Jordi Alba cross aided the Catalunya team to shift to the third spot in Group E.

Optimistic boss.

Happiest among all was Ronald Koeman as he gave his opinion regarding the performance of his squad. However, he also pointed out critical mistakes and demanded more efforts from his side. “This keeps us alive in the Champions League and anything is still possible thanks to this win, but we needed to finish the game off better than we’ve managed to,” Koeman said.

He further added while speaking with BarcaTV: “I’m happy with the team’s game, but not with the effectiveness in front of goal. We cannot miss that many chances when our life is on the line. I understand the people’s whistles. We should have won 3-0, or 4-0 today. We cannot miss this many chances.

Coming up next for Barcelona is a huge test as they face Real Madrid in the infamous El-Clasico on Sunday. Although, the Netherlands manager appeared confident following an imperative triumph in last night’s Champions League fixture. Koeman said: “Facing a Clásico is always easier after a win rather than a defeat. Can we beat Madrid? Yeah, why not?”
