Sitting 13 points off the top of the league table, the titleholders have pretty much lost all hopes of a successful title defense.
Jurgen Klopp has rubbished rumors that he is considering leaving Liverpool amid their poor run of form.
Those at Anfield have been enduring tough times, as a team that basically walked away with the Premier League crown last term is barely in the top-four race this term.
Their most recent blow came in the form of a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Leicester City – and slight uncertainty has surrounded the future of the Liverpool manager since then.
Rumors have been flying around that Klopp, who recently mourned the passing away of his mother, is ready to step down as the head coach.
Hearing the news, some of the Reds faithful even flew a banner in support of Klopp outside Anfield which read: “Jurgen Klopp YNWA.”
“I heard about both [the banner and the rumors],” Klopp said ahead of the Champions League clash with RB Leipzig, as per Sky Sports. “The banner was nice, I don’t feel that I need special support in this moment but it’s nice.
“I don’t need a break. I am full of energy, honestly. I see an interesting challenge. We will sort it by playing football, we will sort it together by fighting with all we have. That’s the plan. Nobody has to worry about me.
“We do this for the people. I feel the responsibility so much when things don’t go well.”
Klopp jokingly added: “Did I get the sack or did I leave by myself? I don’t need a break.
“Privately, we had a tough time, that was a much longer time already and we always deal with it as a family 100%.”
