The reigning Premier League champions face a top-of-the-table clash against Tottenham on Wednesday.

Jurgen Klopp has revealed Liverpool will make a late decision on Joel Matip’s availability to face Spurs and that Naby Keita could return as well.

Matip had to vacate the pitch at the interval during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw at Fulham on Sunday. He suffered a back spasm and has since undergone treatment in a bid to partner Fabinho in defense on Wednesday.

Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Konstantinos Tsimikas, Thiago, Xherdan Shaqiri, James Milner, and Diogo Jota are all sidelined.

“We don’t know yet,” said Klopp on Matip’s availability to face Spurs in a pre-match conference on Tuesday afternoon.

“Only two days ago we played, and he left the pitch with a back spasm.

“The physios worked pretty much 24 hours on him. We will see. We have another session today, and we will see.”

Keita, meanwhile, missed the trip to Fulham last weekend with a muscle problem.

“Naby maybe,” said Klopp on the midfielder.

“He was involved yesterday in the extended warm-up, I would say. There is another session today, and we will have to see how he reacts to that.

“With the others, no. No-one else.”
