Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp talked about the difficult path ahead of Premier League games before Christmas.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp criticized the Premier League because of the tightly scheduled games for the top-clubs.

The current title holders of the English league is playing in the European championship alongside other major clubs. And, Liverpool will face the difficulty of featuring in two games per week until Christmas. However, this will exclude the international break which will be conducted in November.

Subsequently, Klopp burst out against the authorities involved due to the poor scheduling of matches. As it turns out, teams who play games on Wednesday have to get ready for an early kick-off on Saturday. And this bothers the Liverpool gaffer.

A difficult path ahead.

Moreover, Klopp is now more concerned than ever following a series of injuries in his star-studded squad.

“I think everybody would agree that if you play Tuesday night, you can play the Saturday 12:30 pm game, but somehow the Premier League never realizes that,” Klopp told BT Sport

“They always put in the Wednesday night game, like last Saturday, Man City had to play this game [12:30 pm on Saturday] – I can’t believe it. We are obviously not friends, we play against each other and fight against each other, but how is that possible?

“Maybe I’m too dumb. Premier League CEO Richard Masters and all the others have all said it before: ‘Come on, that’s how it is.’ They just aren’t bothered. I don’t understand why.”

Evidently so, Liverpool played against Midtjylland on Tuesday night in the Champions League. Now, the Reds are scheduled to clash with West Ham in the Premier League late on Saturday. Furthermore, Klopp’s men will face Atalanta away from home on Tuesday.

Klopp’s side though is in a good spot in the European tournament with six points in two games. But, the in-form Everton is ahead of Liverpool just by the factor of goal difference.

In addition, due to the COVID19 pandemic, there will be no winter break for the Premier League. This means that all the players will be busy putting efforts until the end of the league in May 2021.
