Fears over the Egyptian King’s availability appear to be less severe than previously feared for Liverpool’s trip to Arsenal.

Mohamed Salah is a ‘tough cookie’ and is ready to return to training, according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.

The news will serve as a huge boost for Liverpool ahead of Wednesday’s trip to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal in the Premier League.

Salah was doubtful for the match, having suffered a foot injury during Saturday’s 2-0 win over Brighton. He couldn’t train on Monday and fears grew about a possible spell on the sidelines.

Speaking to reporters in a pre-match press conference on Tuesday, however, a relieved Klopp announced Salah had been cleared to rejoin his teammates for training.

“Looks like [it],” said the Reds boss when asked if the Egyptian will be available to face Arsenal.

“Mo is a tough cookie. We were quite happy and lucky. Swollen, painful, today less so. Got a message before the presser he’s ready to train. We’ll see how that looks.”

Will Salah make the difference?

Salah’s potential availability would be a huge boost for Liverpool when facing an in-form Arsenal side on Wednesday.

The Gunners are tough to break down at home, with only 10 league goals conceded on their own turf all season. Therefore, Liverpool would happily welcome their top goalscorer back with open arms.

Klopp’s men are favorites to snatch victory in north London and close to within one point of Premier League leaders Manchester City. Bet365 has priced a Reds win at 1.90 at the time of writing, suggesting they have a 53% chance of all three points.
