After spending months on the sidelines due to injury, Leicester key man Wilfried Ndidi says he is glad to be making a return on the pitch.

Wilfried Ndidi is delighted to be back in contention for Leicester after a spell on the sidelines.

The 23-year-old has been out of action since September after he suffered a groin injury against Burnley.

Ndidi had only featured in two games this season before he was forced to miss the last 13 games across all competitions for the Foxes.

The midfielder was one of the most consistent performers under Brendan Rodgers as Leicester City finished fifth to secure a Europa League berth last season.

Ndidi is now set to make his return for Leicester against Zorya in their penultimate Europa League group game on Thursday night. He took to social media to express his joy ahead of the game.

“Hi guys, it’s Wilfred Ndidi and we are happy to be back and hopefully things go well,” he said in a video posted by Leicester on Twitter alongside his teammate Ricardo Pereira.

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is also eager to see the Nigerian back in action for their fixture against the Ukrainian outfit.

“Wilfred Ndidi, it’ll be fantastic to see him back. Caglar Soyuncu will play. Ricardo Pereira as well. Timothy Castagne is still out, we’ll see how he is when we get back,” Rodgers said.
