The Germany international has emerged on Man Utd’s radar recently as the club searches for a new goalkeeper.
Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp has rejected an offer from Manchester United.
The 32-year-old became the latest target for United this week as the Red Devils search for a keeper to provide cover and competition for current No.1 David de Gea at Old Trafford.
But Trapp has turned down the opportunity to join the Premier League in favor of continuing at Eintracht.
“Dear fans, there have been a lot of reports of interest in Manchester United in the past few days,” the former PSG star posted on Instagram.
“It is true that there is a written offer. Manchester United is a world club and the fact that I can deal with and think about such an offer, I hope everyone understands.
“Yesterday, however, I informed the person in charge of both clubs that I had chosen Eintracht. I have experienced unforgettable things here with Frankfurt and we made history together. The start to the season has been bumpy, but I have absolute faith in us.”
Trapp has been one of the standout goalkeepers in the Bundesliga in recent years after rejoining Eintracht from PSG in 2019.
The German made 46 appearances in all competitions last season to help the club win the Europa League and finish 11th in the Bundesliga.
