The Spurs striker is said to be desperate to move to pastures new in order to multiply his chances of winning silverware.

Harry Kane has announced he will be staying at Tottenham, saying he’s “100% focused on helping the team achieve success.”

Kane’s future has been one of the hottest subjects of discussion as of late. The England captain returned late to Tottenham training after his vacation, leading to rumors he had taken matters into his own hands so as to force a move away.

Manchester City have reportedly been hot on the pursuit of the 2020-21 Premier League Golden Boot winner as they look to replace the club’s all-time leading goalscorer Sergio Aguero, who moved to FC Barcelona on a free transfer earlier this summer.

It had appeared until now that the striker had one foot out the Spurs exit door, but it looks like he has now changed his mind.

Kane wrote in a Twitter post: “It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I’ve had in the last few weeks.

“I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success. #COYS”
