The Bundesliga giants have intensified their efforts to sign De Ligt in recent days.
Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn has confirmed Matthijs de Ligt is keen to secure a move to Allianz Arena.
Bayern have been pursuing a deal for the Dutchman, getting ahead of Chelsea in the transfer race to sign him.
Juventus have reportedly rejected Bayern’s first offer for De Ligt, but Bayern are confident they can add the highly-rated defender to their ranks this summer.
“We had talks and the player wants to come to FC Bayern,” Kahn told Blickpunkt Sport. “We’ll have more discussions and then see how it goes.”
De Ligt has two years left on his current Juve deal, which includes a €120m release clause.
Juventus are preparing to lose the Dutchman ahead of the next season. However, Bayern’s offer is way below their reported demand of €90m.
Last week, Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic travelled to Turin to negotiate with Juve officials over De Ligt’s move.
“You all know that we had a conversation in Italy, you saw that,” Salihamidzic told Sky Sports Germany. “There will definitely be more talks.”
According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern are preparing to submit a new bid for De Ligt in the coming days.
The Sky Sports journalist claims Bayern will intensify their efforts to reach an agreement with Juventus after Robert Lewandowski’s departure.
