The Bianconeri will have to play without the Argentine star in their next league game.
Juventus will face Spezia in a Serie A game on Sunday. The Bianconeri hope to close the gap to third-place Milan, but they will have to play without two of their key forwards.
In a pre-match press conference, Massimiliano Allegri confirmed Paulo Dybala would miss the match through injury.
“Dybala left training prematurely yesterday,” Allegri stated. “He had a problem with his flexor and he did not feel his leg free, so he is still out. If you want I will call him, but he cannot play.”
Dybala is spending the last months of his Juventus contract, with no signs of a renewal being imminent. Asked about the Argentine’s future at the club, the Italian manager responded: “It does not depend on me.
“It will be a negotiation between the club and Paulo. He has been here for eight years and on a technical level, [his contribution] is indisputable.”
Since arriving at the club, Dusan Vlahovic has improved Juve’s attacking line. However, Allegri hints he might give his star striker rest against the 15th-placed side.
“For Vlahovic I am thinking of the possibility of him starting from the bench. I will see and decide tomorrow.”
Juventus are going into the game as the favourites. However, considering Spezia’s wins against Napoli and Milan, Allegri’s potential decision to bench Vlahovic might backfire.
