The iconic footballer has been heavily tipped to walk away from the Allianz Arena after a disappointing season.
Cristiano Ronaldo will continue at Juventus next season, insists the club’s vice president Pavel Nedved.
Ronaldo’s future has been a subject of intense speculations for a while now, with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner having entered the final year of his Juventus contract.
A move away to Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United is being mooted for the forward, who is currently on vacation after a testing Euro 2020 campaign with Portugal.
Speaking to Sky Italia after Juventus’ 3-1 win over Cesena in Saturday’s pre-season friendly, however, a Juve chief provided reassurances over the superstar’s future.
“Cristiano Ronaldo will be back in Turin on Monday, he will STAY with us,” asserted Nedved.
It has been reported Maximilliano Allegri is not too keen on letting 36-year-old Ronaldo be the focal point of his team and instead wants Paulo Dybala to be the main man.
However, Nedved essentially downplayed those rumors saying the returning manager has both the players in his plans for the coming season.
“Allegri loves to play Dybala and Ronaldo together,” he said. “We’re gonna meet next week with Paulo Dybala’s agent to open talks about his contract.”
