Juventus are plotting a move for Lyon star Houssem Aouar during the January transfer window. However, they will need to ‘watch out’ for Arsenal as they push to secure his signature.
A report from Tuttosport claims that the 22-year-old is on the radar of the Serie A champions.
Aouar was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal throughout the summer but a deal failed to materialize. The Gunners went on to sign Thomas Partey instead.
Juventus have already added a number of quality young players to their squad in recent months. The trio of Weston McKennie, Dejan Kulusevski, and Federico Chiesa joining over the summer.
However, the Bianconeri still want more and have identified the Lyon star as a top target.
Juventus are still in search of a player to improve the creativity in their midfield and Aouar is touted as a credible candidate to fill that hole.
The player remains on contract with Lyon until 2023, having penned a five-year extension in 2018.
With just under three years still left to run on the deal, the Ligue 1 outfit will hope to secure a decent amount for Aouar should they choose to sell.
