A report has claimed Juventus have decided their next line of action regarding on-loan Atletico Madrid forward Alvaro Morata.

Juventus are happy to wait it out and buy some time regarding the clause that allows them to sign Morata on a permanent deal for 40m.

The Italian champions are looking to get maximum value from any permanent deal for the Spanish striker who they took back on loan in September from Atletico Madrid.

However, the transfer market is still not settled given the financial impact of the coronavirus all over Europe and on the global scene at large.

Due to that, Goal is reporting that Juve will be happy to extend the loan deal for Morata next summer rather than move to sign him permanently.

The Spanish forward had an initial two-year spell with the Old Lady in 2014 which was a reasonable success. The 28-year-old scored 27 times in 93 appearances and provided 18 assists. One of his goals came in the 2015 Champions League final.

His return this season has been impressive as well with Morata bagging six goals in eight games across all competitions.

Four of those goals have come in three Champions League ties.

Juve paid an initial £9m to take their former player on loan, and have the option to extend the arrangement by another year for the same amount. If they want, they can also sign him outright for £40m instead next summer.

Andrea Pirlo is reported to be pleased with Morata’s performances so far but the club will remain in no rush to push for a permanent deal come next summer.
