With a Champions League clash with Chelsea only days away, Juventus have suffered a severe blow.
Paulo Dybala is a doubt for Wednesday’s Champions League match between Juventus and Chelsea after suffering a suspected muscle injury.
The 27-year-old limped off in tears during Juventus’ Serie A clash with Sampdoria on Sunday. He lasted just 22 minutes before a muscle problem forced him into the tunnels. Bianconeri boss Massimiliano Allegri replaced him with Dejan Kulusevski.

The injury occurred as Dybala attempted to stop a Sampdoria defender from making a long pass with an outstretched leg, but he landed awkwardly on his front foot and couldn’t continue.
Dybala’s setback will leave Allegri sweating ahead of Chelsea’s visit to Turin. With Cristiano Ronaldo no more, the Argentine attacker has flourished as the main man at Juventus. He even scored the first goal against Sampdoria and took on the captain’s armband for the second successive match.
Juventus may restrain from making any official announcements until after their medical staff have assessed Dybala at the club’s Contessa training base on Monday.
