Fabio Paratici has informed that the club are working on a contract extension for one of their key players, Paulo Dybala.

Juventus’ Paulo Dybala has featured rather sparingly so far this season, with injury setbacks limiting his game time to just two appearances across all competitions.

The 3-0 Serie A win over Napoli and the 2-0 Champions League victory over Dynamo Kyiv earlier this month were the last two times he stepped on the pitch.

The Argentine has remained a vital member of the Juve team ever since his arrival in 2015, but he came close to an exit last season.

Interest from Manchester United and Tottenham were reported in the previous transfer windows for the 26-year old, who has a contract with the Italian side until 2022.

The Serie A champions, perhaps with the intention of warding off potential suitors, now plan on further extending his stay.

“We’re in talks to extend Paulo Dybala’s contract,” the club’s managing director Fabio Paratici confirmed to Sky in Italy.

“He wants to stay and we want to keep him, he’s part of our future. We’ll continue the negotiations to find an agreement.”

A deal for five further years is supposedly being discussed between Dybala and Juventus, though there is no official information to confirm this claim yet.
