The Bianconeri might have the pair back sooner than initially expected.

Paul Pogba and Federico Chiesa are set to return from injury when Juventus meet Benfica on October 25.

Pogba is yet to play for Juve since returning from the club earlier this summer. He went under the knife after sustaining a knee injury that has put his World Cup chances in danger.

Chiesa, on the other hand, is out with a cruciate ligament rupture that has kept him out of action since January.

Juventus has found a difficult start to the new season in the absence of their two key stars. However, the Bianconeri could have the pair back at their disposal as soon as next month.

According to TuttoSport, both Pogba and Chiesa will be back by the time Juve meet Benfica in the Champions League on October 25.

The new return date means Pogba will be available for France’s World Cup squad. However, Deschamps has warned he won’t take an out-of-form Pogba with the team to Qatar.

“I know Paul very well, and we talk regularly. Today, no one, even him, can say whether he will be there [at the World Cup]. I don’t know if he can be cured,” Deschamps said last week.

“Since I’ve been here, I’ve never for a single final tournament taken a player if he was not fully recovered. Paul, he’s not here to amuse the gallery.

“If he recovers, it would be a very good thing. He won’t come if he’s unfit. He doesn’t want that either. It’s inconceivable. The number of players who will be there, they will all be ready to play.

“It is a question in relation to the competition.”
