Barely 48 hours after Juventus beat Roma, a report has claimed the Bianconeri are eyeing a move for a certain Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Juventus are eyeing a move for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and could make an attempt for the Roma star at the end of the season.

The Armenian has been one of Roma’s top performers this season, scoring 11 goals and recording 10 assists in 26 appearances across all competitions.

With nine of those goals coming in Serie A, he is the top scorer for Paulo Fonseca’s side.

Mkhitaryan is yet to agree on a new contract at the capital club and his current deal expires at the end of the season.

According to Calciomercato, the Italian giants are monitoring the 32-year-old’s situation at their rivals and are considering making a move for him this summer.

The report says Roma have exercised a clause that they can renew Mkhitaryan’s contract for another year automatically.

However, the Armenia international can choose to break that clause \ if he wishes, as long as he does so by June 30.

His agent Mino Raiola wants his client to earn more than the current £2.64million salary he is on at the Stadio Olimpico.

And if Raiola and Mkhitaryan can’t agree on a new contract at Roma, then Juventus are waiting to offer him a route to Turin instead.

If that move does happen, the former Manchester United star won’t be the only Raiola client at Juventus. Matthijs de Ligt and Federico Bernardeschi are already on the books of the Bianconeri.
