The Italian giants are continuing their plans of squad rebuild under Massimiliano Allegri.

Juventus have reached an agreement with Aaron Ramsey to mutually terminate his contract ahead of the next season.

Ramsey joined the Bianconeri from Arsenal in 2019. However, he failed to live up to expectations at the Allianz Stadium, falling out of favour under Allegri last season.

The club announced on Tuesday that they released Ramsey as a free agent.

The former Arsenal star made only five Serie A appearances for Juve last season. He then joined Rangers to rediscover his spark mid-season.

However, his time at the Scottish side ended with a crucial penalty miss in the Europa League final. Having returned from the loan spell, Ramsey has decided to end his time at Juventus.

Ramsey is now available as a free agent, with a few clubs already showing interest in signing him.

According to the Mirror, Nottingham Forest are leading the race to bring Ramsey back to the Premier League next season.

The newly-promoted side are spending a busy transfer window, adding as many as 11 players to their squad ahead of their return to the English top flight.

In addition to Forest, Ramsey’s former club Cardiff City are also keen to sign him as a free agent. However, given Ramsey’s qualities and his age, he will most likely prioritize a move back to the Premier League ahead of the next season.
