Ahead of the upcoming Serie A showdown with AS Roma, Juventus have lost a key man but welcomed another one back to the fold.

Juventus have ruled Matthijs de Ligt out for Sunday’s game against Roma, but Alvaro Morata returns.

For reasons not yet known, De Ligt is not a part of Massimiliano Allegri’s squad list. Juventus confirmed their chosen 22 players on Twitter just hours before kick-off at 20:45 (CET) in Turin.

Therefore, as De Ligt is unavailable, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini will probably start in central defense.

Adrien Rabiot is out due to COVID-19, while Paulo Dybala remains absent thanks to a thigh injury. However, Morata has made a quick recovery from injury to make the squad. It’s unclear if the Spanish forward will start or not, but his return is a welcome boost all the same.

Alex Sandro, Danilo, and Rodrigo Bentancur have also made the squad despite returning from international duty on Friday.
