The Bianconeri are actively scouting the Benfica star for a possible move next summer.

Juventus could reportedly join the transfer race for Benfica’s Joao Neves.

Earlier this season, reports emerged of Manchester United’s interest in signing the teenage midfielder. The Red Devils are actively monitoring the market to find a long-term replacement for Casemiro.

However, Neves’ brilliant performances for Benfica have attracted interest from other top clubs.

According to Calciomercato, Juventus scouts are closely watching Neves’ development. The Serie A giants, however, are still not sure whether the 19-year-old deserves a €30-40m.

Another report from TEAMtalk claims Chelsea have also joined the race to sign Neves. However, the Blues are not considering signing a new midfielder this winter.

A potential bidding war for Neves could drive up his price tag significantly ahead of the next transfer window. The teenager is already one of Benfica’s top earners while having a €120m release clause in his contract.

Neves has played in every match for Benfica so far this season as the Eagles sit second in the Portuguese top flight. With the recent transfers of Moises Caicedo, Declan Rice, and Enzo Fernandes, Neves might emerge as the next expensive midfielder to make a move to a top-tier club in the near future.
