The Bianconeri are keen to keep the Italian star in Serie A ahead of the next season.

Juventus are competing against Tottenham to complete the signing of Nicolo Zaniolo.

The Italian star has played both as an attacking midfielder and a winger, helping Roma with his incredible versatility upfront. His performances last season attracted interest from Tottenham.

However, it seems the Spurs are not leading the race for Zaniolo’s signature.

According to 90min, Juventus are in pole position to sign Zaniolo this summer.

The Serie A club have moved ahead of Tottenham, who started their negotiations with Roma last week. Zaniolo is reportedly keen to continue his football in Serie A by joining Juve.

The Italian giants might include Arthur Melo and Moise Kean in their offer to persuade Roma. However, according to Calciomercato, Roma’s €60-million valuation of Zaniolo might fend off Juventus.

Therefore, Tottenham still have a chance to edge out their Italian rivals by increasing their offer for the player. Zaniolo’s contract at Roma runs until 2024, and the club is under no pressure to sell him this summer.

The Azzurri star came back from an ACL injury last season and managed to quickly regain his best form. He scored six goals in Roma’s UEFA Conference League campaign, helping the Giallorossi clinch the title.
