New Juventus football director Federico Cherubini has offered the latest on Cristiano Ronaldo’s future as the star enters the final year of his contract.

Cristiano Ronaldo has given ‘no signal’ that he plans to leave Juventus, says Federico Cherubini.

Cherubini, who has replaced the departed Fabio Paratici as the club’s new football director, expects Ronaldo back for pre-season training once his summer vacation has ended.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is out of contract in 2022 and there have been rumors that he could leave this summer to former clubs Manchester United and Real Madrid, as well as Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

“There has been no signal from Ronaldo,” Cherubini told reporters on the transfer speculation as per Goal.

“Especially the rumors that there should be a transfer and there’s no sign from Juventus in this regard.

“Last season he scored 36 goals in 44 games, the numbers don’t always say everything but hide many truths, we are happy that Ronaldo will join the team as soon as he has finished his holidays.”

Cherubini added: “I don’t have the crystal ball, but right now there are no signals regarding a possible transfer.”

Ronaldo has scored an impressive 101 goals in only 133 appearances for Juventus since his arrival from Real Madrid in 2018.

The Portuguese ace has won every domestic honor in Italy and finished as Serie A’s top-scorer last season on 29 goals in 33 games.
