The Bianconeri might part ways with Massimiliano Allegri despite their recent gestures of support for the manager.

Juventus will reportedly push to bring Antonio Conte back to the Allianz Stadium if they decide to sack Massimiliano Allegri.

The Serie A giants have won only two of their seven league matches so far this season while losing both of their Champions League clashes.

The club’s hierarchy has continued to support Allegri, but rumours around Juventus’ search for a new boss are already circulating around.

According to 90min, Tottenham manager Conte is Juve’s ‘main priority’ target for the managerial role if they decide to sack Allegri.

Conte won three consecutive Serie A titles during his successful spell at Juventus between 2011 and 2014. However, his controversial departure makes it hard to imagine he’d want to return to the Allianz Stadium.

Juve refused Conte’s request to sign Juan Cuadrado while they sold Arturo Vidal against his will. The tension led to Conte’s departure as the Bianconeri replaced him with Allegri in July 2014.

Eight years later, Conte is busy rebuilding Tottenham’s squad in their pursuit of silverware. The Italian boss started his Spurs career by openly criticizing the club’s hierarchy for their transfer policies.

However, Tottenham went on to give the Italian boss more freedom in this summer’s transfer window. Conte’s side now sit third in the Premier League, remaining unbeaten since the start of the new campaign.

Conte’s current deal at Spurs runs until the next summer. However, the club have the option to extend it automatically for another year.

Given the 53-year-old’s performance so far at Tottenham, Juve won’t have an easy job of securing his services this season.
