The Serie A giants are struggling to tie Chiesa to a new contract ahead of the next season.
Federico Chiesa’s agent has insisted his client didn’t ask for an €8m-per-season salary to stay at Juventus.
The Bianconeri are keen to sign a new contract with Chiesa as one of their key players ahead of the next season. The Italy international is under contract until 2025, but interest from the Premier League clubs has mounted in recent months.
“Chiesa has never requested €8m net salary per season to sign new deal,” Fali Ramadani said on Sunday.
“This is not true, fake news.”
Liverpool pursued a move for Chiesa back in 2021, but Juve’s reported demand of an £86m fee kept him at the Allianz Stadium.
Chiesa is expected to be available for a much lower fee this summer. Juve have missed out on the Champions League, with financial problems forcing them to reconsider their bloated wage bill.
According to Calciomercato, both Liverpool and Newcastle are considering moves for Chiesa this summer. However, the Reds are leading the race as they are already planning to offer a more lucrative contract compared to that of Juve.
Speaking in a press conference earlier this month, the Italy international said of his future: “I am here working with the international team and our goal in the Nations League, then we will see.
“I am at Juventus and I am thinking about Juventus.”
