The France international is reportedly on the verge of signing a contract with his former club.

Talks between Paul Pogba and Juventus are ‘progressing very, very well’, according to the club’s CEO Maurizio Arrivabene.

Pogba, who has left Manchester United ahead of the expiry of his contract this month, appears set to join Juventus for the second time of his career on a free transfer from Old Trafford.

According to various reports, the midfielder will take a medical in Turin at the beginning of July. He still needs to iron out some details, though, before completing his return.

“We are talking to him, things are progressing very, very well,” Arrivabene told Tuttosport.

“How did the idea come about? In those meetings, names are mentioned, like that of [Dusan] Vlahovic who later arrived. You open the door, throw a name and everyone looks at you like crazy; then, little by little, the machine starts up, and the operation is built. Pogba was born this way.

“His [Pogba’s] presence will also be fundamental from a commercial point of view, even if my dream is to have an Italian player who is internationally recognized: a [Francesco] Totti, a [Alessandro] Del Piero, a [Gianluigi] Buffon.”
