Barcelona have reportedly turned down Juventus’ swap offer involving Luis Suarez and Gonzalo Higuain.

Barcelona have already informed Luis Suarez of their decision to let him leave on a free transfer this summer, as Ronald Koeman prepares a massive squad overhaul.

Immediately after replacing Quique Setien in the dugout, the Dutchman communicated the club’s intent to part ways to the Uruguayan.

The 33-year-old’s career at Camp Nou seems to be drawing to a close after he came under criticism for Barca’s embarrassing 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Juventus, who are also said to are preparing to reshape their squad in the summer, have taken an interest in Suarez.

But according to the Italian journalist, Tancredi Palmeri, perennial Serie A champions have seen their like-for-like swap bid involving Gonzalo Higuain rejected by Barcelona.

Andrea Pirlo has already made his decision to offload Higuain public, with Roma’s Edin Dzeko emerging as Juve’s top priority for the striker’s role.

Unless they manage to persuade the capital-based outfit to cut their headline performer loose, the Bianconeri are likely to turn their attention towards Suarez again.

The Uruguayan is not happy with the way Barcelona are dealing with his future and could be favoring a move to the Allianz Stadium as his final high-profile stop.
