The Bianconeri boss is not optimistic about his side’s chances of winning the Serie A this season.

Juventus started the current season with a long period of struggling for form. Massimiliano Allegri’s side have shown signs of improvement in recent months.

However, the Italian boss does not believe his side have a real chance of clinching the league title this season.

Speaking ahead of his side’s clash against Empoli, he said (via Stadium Astro): “We are fighting on all fronts, even if the Scudetto is hard. Actually, impossible.

“We are out of the title race, I think that 85 points will be enough to win the title and we can’t reach that. We have a Coppa Italia semi-final against Fiorentina and the Champions League against Villarreal.

He added: “At the moment, it’s a good season. Let’s see which trophies we can lift, it’s not easy to win every year. The important thing is to improve, but we have to do more in some situations.”

Juventus sit fourth in Serie A with 47 points from their 26 games. The Bianconeri are chasing third-placed Napoli who are seven points ahead of them on the table.

Allegri’s side go into the match on the back of three consecutive 1-1 draws in their recent games. The Bianconeri will hope to get back to winning ways against Empoli, with their hosts having struggled for form lately.
