The Juventus striker has struggled for consistency throughout the season.

Massimiliano Allegri has backed Dusan Vlahovic to regain his best form at Juventus.

Vlahovic has cemented his place in Juve’s attacking line since joining the club last year. However, he has come under fire for his lack of goals in recent weeks as Juve hope to re-enter Serie A’s top five.

“There was criticism for Cristiano [Ronaldo] when he arrived,” Allegri said

“He will find the goal again, he is 22 years old and has also improved technically. Throughout your career there are moments when things go less well for you.

“You must remain serene. Rabiot last year someone didn’t even want to see him on the pitch anymore, if I’m not mistaken. Dusan has very specific characteristics and it’s not like he’s any less strong now than when he arrived.”

Vlahovic has registered only ten goals across all competitions this season. The Serbia international was not able to help Juve escape their 2-1 defeat against Lazio on Saturday.

Another Juventus player who has struggled for form in recent weeks is Leandro Paredes. The Argentine star engaged in a bust-up with Allegri during Juve’s training, expressing his dissatisfaction over a lack of playing time.

“On Easter Monday we also ate well. We had a chat with him [Paredes],” the Italian manager told reporters.

“I understand that a player who plays less is a bit nervous. The important thing is that everyone is concentrated.

“When I make choices, even if I’m wrong, I do them according to the team. I’m glad he had this reaction because it means he wants to do well in the last two months.”
