Inter are the Coppa Italia champions! 🏆
An early goal from Nicolo Barella put Inter ahead only six minutes into the game. The Nerazzurri managed to hold on to their lead for the entire first half while Juve struggled to find their feet in the game.
However, the Bianconeri looked much improved after the interval. A quick comeback changed the course of the game in the first seven minutes of the second period.
Alex Sandro made it 1-1 in the 50th minute before Dusan Vlahovic put Juventus ahead only two minutes later. The young striker converted the rebound of his blocked shot to complete Juve’s comeback.
However, Inter managed to gradually increase the pressure on Juve’s backline without giving away too many counter-attacking chances. Their strategy paid off when Hakan Calhanoglu converted a penalty to score the equalizer in the 80th minute.
Inter continued to dominate the game at the beginning of the extra time. This time, it was Inter’s turn to conduct an impressive comeback.
Following another spot-kick for Inter, Ivan Perisic made it 3-2 in the 99th minute. The experienced winger then doubled his side’s lead with a stunning curler from the edge of the box.
Juventus pushed to get back into the game, but they seemed too exhausted to pull off another comeback.
