What happened?
Napoli started the game on the front foot as they dominated the possession early on. However, they failed to create clear-cut chances, with the first half’s only shot on target coming from Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic.
The pace of the game increased dramatically after the break, with both sides pushing for an early opener. Napoli missed a big chance through Piotr Zielinski before Juventus finally broke the deadlock in the 51st minute.
Federico Gatti converted Andrea Cambiaso’s precise shot with a smart header to the far post, putting Juve ahead 1-0. The goal forced Napoli to put more bodies forward as they tried to re-establish their dominance over the game.
The Blues made a total of 13 shots, but only one of them was on target. Juventus’ backline made another impressive display to secure their statement victory at the Allianz Stadium.
