Milan snatched a close win to end Juve’s hopes of reaching the top four.

Milan defeated Juventus 1-0 in their Serie A game on Sunday. A frustrating home loss ended Juve’s dream of reaching the Champions League zone.

Giroud strikes again!

Milan started off as the better side, putting Juve’s backline under pressure from both flanks. However, their efforts to snatch an early breakthrough failed.

Juve gradually found their feet in the game as the first half went on, making a few goalscoring attempts through Angel Di Maria.

However, it was Milan who finally broke the deadlock in the 40th minute. Olivier Giroud turned Davide Calabria’s precise cross into a sublime header that found the bottom corner of the net.

Juventus pushed hard to bounce back after the break, with Massimiliano Allegri making a number of changes to his lineup. However, the Bianconeri struggled to create serious chances as Milan continued to defend their lead.

The 1-0 defeat ends Juve’s dream of securing a top-four finish while ensuring Milan’s presence in the Champions League. The Bianconeri will take on Udinese in their last Serie A game of the season, hoping to reach the Europa League on the league’s final matchday.
