Ahead of the upcoming match at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp revealed he is a big fan of a Manchester United star during today’s press conference.
Jurgen Klopp has no problem praising players from other clubs, but doing the same with Manchester United can throw some Liverpool supporters off. The rivalry between these two clubs goes back decades and it hasn’t been this lit up for years. Sunday will give us a top-of-the-table confrontation between the two clubs that are playing the best football. On one side, we have the reigning champions with their outstanding front three.
Right in front, we have the Red Devils with one player Jurgen Klopp loves. Although they have many great players to follow, there is no doubt that Bruno Fernandes is on a different level. He is the reason Manchester United has done so well over the last few months. Jurgen Klopp loves watching players like him, and he doesn’t hide his admiration.
Klopp is a big fan of Bruno Fernandes.
“He’s an outstanding player,” Klopp said at his pre-match press conference on Friday via talkSPORT. “Before he joined United we played against Sporting on the USA tour and even in that game you could see… wow. Everybody obviously knew of him but that was the first time one of my teams played against him and you could see he was the difference-maker.
“That’s what he shows now [at United], he’s settled, very influential player for United, involved in a lot of things. I know people talk mostly about the goal involvements which is very important stuff but his link-up in a lot of other situations is important as well. I don’t know him well enough to judge this but he seems to be a leader as well so, yeah, good signing unfortunately for United.”
