Ahead of their Premier League fixture vs West Brom, Jurgen Klopp talked about Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp has given his word regarding the predictions of Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool. The Egypt international made his move to the Merseyside club from Roma in 2017 for €42 million. Ever since we have witnessed the striker do wonders at Anfield under the reign of the German boss. Salah failed to impress in the Premier League when he played for Chelsea back in 2014. However, Klopp managed to evolve his best striker when he took control of Liverpool in 2015.
Salah eventually netted 110 goals in his first 173 outings and won the Champions League and Premier League trophies. The Egyptian developed a deadly striking force with teammates Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino. And once again, the 28-year-old is at his best form in the new season with 13 goals already to his name. But, former Egypt midfielder Mohamed Aboutrika produced a rumour saying the Liverpool might consider selling Salah earlier this week. And as expected, the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona have reportedly shown interest for the prolific striker.
The boss speaks.
Klopp received questions regarding Salah’s situation and the German made things clear for everyone. “We never speak about deals, why should we start now?” the Liverpool manager told a pre-match press conference. “Mo is in a good mood, a good moment, really good shape so that is the most important thing. You would have seen him laughing a lot in training, he enjoyed the session. All the rest is nice for all of you to write about but internally, no.”
