The Hammers have found a good start to the new Premier League season despite Declan Rice’s departure.
Liverpool will take on West Ham as their next Premier League opponents, hoping to stretch a five-match unbeaten run. Klopp believes his side should prepare for a real challenge against David Moyes’ in-form side.
“So many extremely strong opponents and West Ham are one of them,” Klopp told reporters on Friday.
“It’s a really exciting project, and I am really happy for David (Moyes). Even with Declan Rice out they look really good. Ward-Prowse was a super signing.”
Ward-Prowse has become a cornerstone of West Ham’s midfield line since joining the club from Southampton in the summer transfer window. The free-kick specialist has registered two goals and five assists in his five appearances for the Hammers.
But Ward-Prowse isn’t the only new signing with a promising start at the London Stadium. Mohammed Kudus, who joined the Hammers on a £38m deal from Ajax, scored his first goal for the Hammers in their Europa League victory against Backa Topola on Thursday.
Following their clash against Liverpool at Anfield, West Ham will prepare to take on Lincoln City in an EFL Cup game on Wednesday.
