The 29-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic few weeks, helping his nation reach the Euro 2020 last-16 stage and leading his club to continental glory.
Chelsea’s Jorginho is a subject of transfer interest for the “main teams in Europe”, claims the player’s agent.
Jorginho regained prominence at Chelsea after the appointment of Thomas Tuchel, whose predecessor Frank Lampard seemingly wasn’t too convinced of the player’s abilities.
Tuchel’s faith in Jorginho was rewarded as the midfielder played a key role in the Blues’ revival after the managerial change.
Currently on international duty, he has been integral to Italy’s dominant and eye-catching performances in Euro 2020 so far.
The former Napoli man, whose current contract will keep him at Stamford Bridge for two more years, was linked with a return to Serie A not too long ago but his agent does not expect him to move this summer.
“Jorginho is very well, he has won the Europa League and the Champions League, and now the goal is to win the Euros,” said Joao Santos, talking to Radio Marte.
“He is focused on this and wants to play all the remaining seven games of the European Championship.
“Obviously, he won the Champions League, and therefore there are enquiries from the main teams in Europe.
“In my opinion, he’ll stay at Chelsea next year. The next goal is to make the World Cup in Qatar with Italy – by staying at Chelsea he’s great chances to do so.”
